2008 Monthly Quilt Squares

RELEASE DATES:

One quilt square will be released on the first day of each month.  I have received e-mails requesting "sneak peeks".  This is NOT going to happen---but I applaud you for your efforts!! INFORMATION:

The following twelve designs will be complimentary throughout the year of 2008.  However, after December 31st of 2008, you will need to purchase them as a package for $12.00.  That being said, be sure to remember to check back often! :)

INSTRUCTIONS:
I HIGHLY suggest using EVENWEAVE for these designs.  There will be different specialty stitches and fractionals in the months ahead, and evenweave will be MUCH easier for you to obtain the look you would like.  Using aida will not bring about the desired results that evenweave will. :-) 

DIMENSIONS: TOTAL design's stitch count is 100w x 197h.  IF you are stitching on 28 count evenweave--leaving three-inch fabric borders all the way around, you will need a piece of fabric measuring 14 x 21.  This will leave room for a poem underneath the 12 squares.  I have designed it to be three months in each row, with a poem at the bottom about quilts, but your layout can be whatever you wish it to be!! :) 

As this is a mystery project, I cannot share the poem until the very end of the year, when all twelve quilt squares have been released.  However, I can tell you that if you choose not to use the poem in your piece, you can always cut the fabric off at three inches below the 12 squares, and that will work just fine as well. 

IMPORTANT NOTE---LEAVE EIGHT (8) BLANK STITCHES BETWEEN SQUARES, HORIZONTALLY!  This is 16 threads if you are stitching on 28 count evenweave.

**Not doing so will cause you to not have enough fabric**-----and we wouldn't want that!! It's a huge stitcher's nightmare to run out of fabric! :o)
